Description

This striking ring features a large natural Cretaceous Burmese amber (Burmite) cabochon, formed approximately 100 million years ago in what is today the Hukawng Valley of Kachin State, Myanmar. Burmite is among the most scientifically significant ambers in the world, renowned for its exceptional preservation of ancient life and its geological age that predates most known amber deposits.

The cabochon measures approximately 20.47 × 17.77 × 10.06 mm, presenting a rich and saturated orange tone with excellent internal clarity. Encased within the amber is a rare gaseous fossil inclusion, a sealed pocket of ancient gas or air that became trapped during the resin’s flow phase in the Cretaceous period. These “gas bubbles” provide valuable information about prehistoric atmosphere and are sought after by both collectors and researchers.

The stone is set in a polished silver adjustable ring, allowing a secure and comfortable fit while highlighting the impressive dome of the amber.
